Al monto rigardas li nur.	He only regards dreaded height.	rigardas li al la kantanto.	atentas nur ŝin kun fervor'.	He sees but the maid alone:

Mi kredas, ke dronos finfine	I believe the turbulent waves	Ha, baldaŭ ŝipisto la bela	Mi kredas: la ondoj englutas ³⁾	The pitiless billwos engulf him!-
Ŝipisto kun sia boat’,	Swallow the last shipper and boat;	perdiĝis sub l' akvoturnado;	ŝipiston, ŝipeton je l' fin',	So perish sailor and bark;

			1) En la sube menciita kajero, el kiu mi, Manfred Retzlaff, kopiis tiun ĉi esperantigon, la linio tekstas: "kaj sia oraĵo radias", kun "sia" anstataŭ "ŝia"'. Tio ŝajne estas aŭ pres-eraro aŭ gramatika eraro de la tradukinto.
			2) En la origina versio troviĝas tie ĉi la vorto "liedon", kio estas aŭ pres-eraro aŭ neologismo inventita de la tradukinto Paul Christaller.
			3) Mi, Manfred Retzlaff, enmetis la duoblan punkton post la vorto "kredas". Ĝi mankas en la origina traduko de Paul Christaller.
