I wander’d lonely as a cloud   Argiope information:   Mi vagis sola kiel nub'
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,   The view of this version is restricted.   Altflosas super la kampar'
When all at once I saw a crowd,   Presumably there are copyright issues.   Kaj tiam tuj aperis trup'
A host of golden daffodils,       De dafodiloj; ora ar'
Beside the lake, beneath the trees       Apud la lag', sub arba tend'
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.       Flirtis kaj dancis en la vent'.

Continuous as the stars that shine   Translation of the English poem "The
Daffodils" by William Wordsworth (*1770
- †1850) into German by Hans
Hennecke.

  Senbreĉe kiel astra bril'
And twinkle on the milky way,       Sur Lakta Voj' flagretas, jen
They stretch’d in never-ending line       Sterniĝis ili en defil'
Along the margin of a bay:       Senfine laŭ la laghaven'.
Ten thousand saw I at a glance       Rigardon kaptis la balanc'
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.       De dekmil kapoj en la danc'.

The waves beside them danced, but they       Apudaj ondoj dancis, sed
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: -       Triumfon gajnis floroj ĉi,
A poet could not but be gay       Devigis gajon de poet'
In such a jocund company:       Plej joviala kompani':
I gazed - and gazed - but little thought       Mi rigardadis sen atent',
What wealth the show to me had brought.       Ke min riĉigos la prezent'.

For oft, when on my couch I lie       Ĉar ofte, kiam kuŝas mi
In vacant or in pensive mood,       Penseme, aŭ en menslangvor',
They flash upon that inward eye       Ekfulmas ili tra l' konsci' -
Which is the bliss of solitude;       La beno de solema hor';
And then my heart with pleasure fills       La koro pro pleniga ĝu'
And dances with the daffodils.       Kun dafodiloj dancas plu.
