’T is the last rose of summer left blooming alone;		Jen floras sola, forlasita la lasta rozo de l' somero,
All her lovely companions are faded and gone;		Dum ĝia ĉarma gefrataro, velkinte kuŝas jam sur tero.
No flower of her kindred, no rosebud is nigh,		Ne estas ia flor' parenca, nek roz-burĝono en proksimo,
To reflect back her blushes, to give sigh for sigh.		Por interŝanĝi la ridetojn aŭ la sopirojn, laŭ kutimo.

I'll not leave thee, thou lone one! To pine on the stem;		Mi vin ne lasos, ho soleca, ĉagrene sur trunketo brili;
Since the lovely are sleeping, go sleep thou with them.		Ĉar la karuloj viaj dormas, do iru, dormu vi kun ili!
Thus kindly I scatter thy leaves o'er the bed,		Foliojn viajn mi afable disĵetas sur bedeto jena:
Where thy mates of the garden lie scentless and dead.		Vi kuŝu apud senaroma, malviva kunular' ĝardena!

So soon may I follow when friendships decay,		Mi tiel sekvu, kiam pasos de l' amikeco flor' fidela,
And from Love's shining circle the gems drop away.		Kaj el brilanta amo-ringo elfalos lasta ŝton' juvela.
When true hearts lie wither'd and fond ones are flown,		Ĉar kiam velkis veraj koroj, sentemaj flugis for el rondo,
