kun ok-liniaj strofoj		kun ok-liniaj strofoj

’T is the last rose of summer		Jen la lasta rozeto
Left blooming alone;		de fora somer'!
All her lovely companions		Ĝiaj belaj kunuloj
Are faded and gone;		jam velkis sur ter'!
No flower of her kindred,		Ne restas parenco,
No rosebud is nigh,		ne unu rozflor'
To reflect back her blushes,		Partoprenas kompate
To give sigh for sigh.		en ĝia dolor'.

I'll not leave thee, thou lone one!		Mi ne lasos vin velki
To pine on the stem;		tutsola, ho roz'.
Since the lovely are sleeping,		Iru dormi kun ili
Go sleep thou with them.		en paca ripoz'.
Thus kindly I scatter		Nun viajn petalojn
Thy leaves o'er the bed,		disĵetas mi for
Where thy mates of the garden		Al viaj kunuloj
Lie scentless and dead.		sen viv', sen odor'.

So soon may I follow		Tiel same volonte
When friendships decay,		formortus mi mem,
And from Love's shining circle		Se ne plu min atendus
The gems drop away.		amika manprem'.
When true hearts lie wither'd		Ĉar kiu kun koro
And fond ones are flown,		en tiu ĉi mond'
Oh! who would inhabit		Volus loĝi izola
